The adult entertainment industry is preparing for a structural change with the arrival of Hidden, defined by its founders as the "TikTok of the adult world." Launched in 2025, the app adopts the seamless vertical video format typical of social media, but allows creators to offer explicit content with unprecedented ease of access: just a few clicks are needed to move from free viewing to purchase, eliminating the barrier of the 55 average steps that characterize traditional platforms.
The project was born from the desire of Stella Barey, Ari Kytsya, and Lana Rhoades to create a space managed directly by sex workers, responding to the growing frustration with censorship and the constantly evolving algorithmic rules of major social networks. Hidden stands out for the absence of AI-generated content and for its human customer service, placing the community and the economic sustainability of creators at the center.
Unlike platforms that aim to retain users in an infinite scroll, Hidden's algorithm continues to show content to new audiences over time, offering a form of passive promotion. Each creator's page functions as a showcase for their products, seeking to return to the industry an active role in defining the rules of its own digital market.
