The TV anime *Hotarunoyomeiri* made its debut on October 9, 2026, on Fuji TV’s Noitamina network, offering a romantic and passionate story between a noblewoman with only a few days to live and an assassin. The series, based on Tachibana Oreko’s manga, immediately captured the audience’s attention with its intense plot and high-profile voice cast, which includes Lynn and Akira Ishiyama.
Coinciding with the start of the broadcast, the production of a live-action adaptation airing on Fuji TV in 2027 was announced. The teaser PV and comments from the original author were released, in which she expressed her curiosity about how the characters would come to life in the real world. Additionally, uncensored videos for the opening and ending themes were made available, the latter featuring the song “Yumegokoro” by TOOBOE.
Regarding home video, Blu-ray and DVD releases have been confirmed: the first volume, containing the first six episodes, will be available from April 7, 2027, while the second volume will be released on July 7 of the same year. Each disc will include bonus materials such as a special booklet and an original manga drawn by the author.
