The wait is over for fans of the light novel 'The Otome Heroine's Fight for Survival'. The anime adaptation has been officially announced and will air in July 2027. The project is being produced by Studio Clutch and Seven, with Noriyoshi Sasaki serving as director. The protagonist, Alicia, will be voiced by Fūka Izumi, while Tōko Machida handles the screenwriting and Hiroyuki Miseki is in charge of the character designs.
The story follows Alicia, an orphan who discovers she is the predestined protagonist of an otome game. Disappointed by her fate, she decides to take control of her life. Thanks to a mysterious crystal that grants her extraordinary knowledge, she transforms from an innocent girl into a cold and calculating planner. The tone is defined as dark fantasy and action, featuring a strong and determined protagonist who is determined to survive in a hostile world.
The original work by Biyori Harunohi was published in 2019, and the light novel version was released in 2021. J-Novel Club has acquired the rights for the English edition. The teaser video and promotional visual were made public this week, anticipating the television release next year.
