The world of Japanese animation is preparing for a return that has been awaited for nearly three decades. Yesterday, visuals of the three main mecha from the new TV series of "Magic Knight Rayearth" were revealed: the Flame God Rayearth, the Sea God Ceres, and the Sky God Windam. This is the first new TV series of CLAMP's work since 1995, and the first new anime since the 1997 OVA.
Yuki Mutaguchi, known for his work on the "Gundam" series and "SSSS.GRIDMAN," is in charge of the mecha design and technical direction. The series is directed by Sunghoo Park, while production is handled by E&H production, a studio led by director Hikaru Shidou, who is also working on "Jujutsu Kaisen."
The series will debut on TV Asahi on October 7 at 23:45, within the "IMAnimation W" block, and will be broadcast for two consecutive seasons. The voice cast includes Ayane Sakura, Rumi Rie Takahashi, and Saori Hayami in the main roles.
