The official website of the anime adaptation of the manga Hirayasumi has revealed the main cast, the key visual, and a promotional teaser. The series, based on Keigo Shinzou's manga, is scheduled for its first broadcast on NHK in January 2027.
Kei Suezawa serves as director, also handling the series' script and composition. Naoyuki Asano is in charge of character design, while Mika Nishimura serves as art director. The soundtrack is composed by Kaori Sawada.
The manga, which began serialization in Big Comic Spirits in 2021, reached its tenth volume in April. VIZ Media launched the English version in 2023. The story follows Hiroto Ikuta, a 29-year-old with no girlfriend and no stable job, who faces life with a carefree attitude in a world full of anxiety and confusion.
