The sex tech market is preparing for a paradigm shift with the announcement of Melody, the first hardware device from SexLikeReal (SLR). Scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026, this stroker marks the company's strategic transition from a simple VR content publisher to an integrated hardware manufacturer. The device is distinguished by its use of artificial intelligence: a machine learning algorithm analyzes the user's preferred rhythms and intensities in real time, adapting the performance to create a more personalized experience compared to traditional devices based on static scripts.
On the technical side, Melody offers an open API that ensures compatibility with third-party platforms, camming services, and interactive scripts. The device integrates a color screen to display real-time telemetry and is designed to be modular, compatible with sleeves from brands such as Fleshlight, Kiiroo, and The Handy. Weighing less than one kilogram and featuring a standardized mounting system, it is designed for hands-free operation.
Connectivity is managed through the Haptics Connect app, which enables remote synchronization with distant partners, transforming the device into a social tool. The estimated price is between $200 and $300, positioning it as a direct challenger to the Handy 2 models. Initial production will be limited to 1,000 units, with a second batch of 3,000 units planned based on feedback. This strategic move aims to create a closed ecosystem between VR content and hardware, strengthening SLR's position in the adult entertainment industry.
