In a post-war world dominated by corporate factions, the Commander coordinates squads of T-Dolls, combat androids with human hearts, through turn-based tactics, 3D exploration, and a dense espionage plot.
Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium, developed by Sunborn Network Technology together with legendary studio MICA Team, has built a solid Western following since launching on PC and mobile in December 2024, and it hit a major milestone on June 25, 2026 with its eighteen-month anniversary update, split into two phases introducing new T-Dolls Loreley, Harpsy, Cheyanne and Liushih, plus a flood of free rewards for commanders. The game inherits the military-flavored tactical RPG identity of the original Girls' Frontline but raises the bar with more polished third-person exploration and near triple-A cinematic direction in its dialogue scenes. The T-Dolls, combat androids modeled after real firearms, sport a roster of combat uniforms and off-duty outfits that are often extremely elaborate and revealing, a trait that has made the franchise a reference point for military sci-fi fanservice since the original 2016 entry.
The combination of a mature espionage plot, solid tactical mechanics, and an openly ecchi visual department that never tips into explicit territory has let Exilium carve out a loyal audience among both series veterans and newcomers drawn in by its production quality, confirming it as one of the more interesting gacha titles of the period. Its willingness to pair a dense spy-thriller plot with such an openly styled cast is precisely what keeps setting it apart from more conservative entries in the tactical-RPG gacha space.
