The legendary CLAMP work is brought back to life with a new TV series. "Magic Knight Rayearth," based on the 1990s fantasy manga, will air starting October 7 on TV Asahi. The production, which celebrates the 30th anniversary of the original adaptation, will feature two consecutive seasons airing every Wednesday in prime time.
At an event in Kyoto, the musical themes were revealed: the opening will be "Otome no Ken" by Tomiaki, also known for his work on Makoto Shinkai's film, while the ending is performed by Kawaguchi Yurina. The second promotional video showcases the protagonists' adventures and the new antagonists.
The cast includes prominent voice talents such as Mamiko Noto and Ayumu Murase, who will voice the enemies of the Mages. The series is directed by Sunghoo Park and produced by E&H production, a studio already known for its work on Jujutsu Kaisen.
