Wonders.ai, a technology company based in Taipei, has announced that it will officially unveil its new application, 'darlin', at the Tokyo Game Show 2026, scheduled to take place from September 17 to 21 at the Makuhari Messe. The app, described as a personal AI, is designed to remember users' daily conversations and preferences, allowing them to build long-term, highly personalized relationships with virtual characters.
For its launch, the company has opened applications for an invite-only beta, selecting a limited group of users who will be able to download and try the application. A major highlight is the voice cast: renowned voice actress Miki Kohinata will lend her voice to a main character, while more than ten creators, including VTuber 'Yuuno' from the group iosys, will see their faces and voices progressively integrated into the 'darlin' roster.
The technology is further enhanced by a partnership with Kotobukiya, a well-known model kit company, which will bring its original IP, 'Nemuri-zoku no Yoka', to the platform. Visitors to the booth will be able to watch a conversation demo featuring the character 'Yoka', created around the theme of a "happy afternoon nap." The character's official integration into the app is planned for a later date after the event, marking a step forward in textual and vocal interaction with AIs.
